A peeling lotion is a type of exfoliating product that is applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells and promote a more even and smooth complexion. These lotions typically contain alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), which work to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to be easily washed away.
Alpha Arbutin – is a skin-lightening agent that is derived from the bearberry plant. It is commonly used to lighten dark spots and hyperpigmentation, such as age spots and melasma. It works by inhibiting the production of melanin, the pigment that gives color to the skin.
Glycerin can be used as an ingredient in a peeling lotion, as it can help moisturize and hydrate the skin while promoting a smooth and even complexion. Its humectant properties help attract and retain moisture in the skin. When combined with exfoliating acids like AHA and BHA, it can help to improve the overall appearance of the skin, leaving it looking plump, hydrated, and healthy.
Aloe vera can be used as an ingredient in a peeling lotion, as it has soothing and moisturizing properties that can benefit the skin. Aloe vera is known for its ability to hydrate, soothe and calm irritated skin and it’s a popular ingredient in many skincare products, including lotions, creams, and serums. It can help to reduce redness, irritation, and dryness that can occur with the use of peeling lotion. Aloe vera gel can also provide anti-inflammatory benefits which can be helpful in reducing the appearance of acne and acne scars.
The combination of these ingredients can provide a more effective peeling experience and it’s essential to use sunscreen after using the peeling lotion to protect the skin from sun damage.
